Our Story

Peace of mind, one plan at a time — for families caring for a loved one with a disability.

Why We Exist

Answering the “What Ifs” that keep parents awake at night

Every parent of a child with a disability carries the same question: What happens when I am no longer here to do this? Who will manage the benefits, the finances, the doctors, the daily decisions — and hold it all together the way you do now?

GENplanning was created to answer that question. We help you become “the future you” for your adult child — building a durable, coordinated plan so that the care, benefits, and financial security you provide today continue for a lifetime.

What GEN Means

Government. Economic. Neighborhood.

Disability planning fails when these three worlds work in isolation. GENplanning brings them into a single, coordinated plan.

G

Government

We help you establish, strategize, and navigate SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare, and waiver programs — maximizing the benefits your family is entitled to at every stage of life.

E

Economic

From Special Needs Trusts and ABLE accounts to earned income and holistic financial planning, we build a long-term roadmap for how assets are allocated throughout your loved one's life.

N

Neighborhood

We coordinate the community and care supports around your family — physicians, vocational staff, care managers, legal teams, and providers — so everyone is working from the same plan.

Our Vision

Be a family, not a bookkeeper.

GENplanning unites Leahy Life Plan and GVA Wealth — joining deep special-needs advocacy with holistic wealth management. Together we take on the coordination, the paperwork, and the benefit strategy, so you can spend your energy where it matters most: being present for your loved one.
